FCA Authorisation Status

ProbablyBig Ltd is currently in the process of applying for authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to operate as an investment-based crowdfunding platform under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Until authorisation is granted, ProbablyBig operates under the appointed representative framework, and all financial promotions are approved by a firm authorised and regulated by the FCA. We are committed to full transparency about our regulatory journey. We will update this page whenever our status changes.

How We Protect Investors

We follow the FCA's Conduct of Business Sourcebook (COBS) rules for investment-based crowdfunding. This means: • All investors must complete an appropriateness assessment before investing. • High-risk investment warnings are displayed prominently on all campaigns and at every checkout step. • Restricted investors are limited to 10% of their net investable assets across all crowdfunding platforms. • We maintain segregated client money arrangements through our payment provider. • All campaign documentation is reviewed by our compliance team before going live.

Risk Warnings

Investing in early-stage businesses involves a high degree of risk. You should be aware of the following before investing: • You may lose all of the money you invest. • Investments in unlisted companies are illiquid. You may not be able to sell your shares, and if you can, it may be at a significant discount. • Tax reliefs under SEIS and EIS are not guaranteed and depend on the company maintaining qualifying status. • Forecasts and projections shown in campaign materials are not guarantees of future performance. • Past performance of other investments on this platform is not a reliable indicator of future performance. ProbablyBig does not provide investment advice. If you are unsure whether investing is right for you, please consult an FCA-authorised financial adviser.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), depending on the nature of your complaint and our regulatory status at the time.
